10 tools for installing a shower

Before undertaking a shower installation there is a checklist of tools you will need for the job in hand:

1. Spirit level.
2. Tape measure.
3. Electric drill.
4. 3/16-inch masonry bit for boring holes in tile and 7/32- and 3/16-inch twist bits for pilot holes in aluminum. 
5. Caulking gun with clear, mildew—resistant silicone sealant.
6. Automatic punch.
7. 10 inch single cut file.
8. Ratcheting screwdriver with No. 2 Phillips and straight heads.
9. Plastic mallet.
10. Vacuum cleaner.
